House of Houbigant, the luxury fragrance, just launched their new Orangers en Fleurs scent inspired by none other than their legendary client Queen Victoria. Small little fact, the Queen brought orange blossoms to the forefront when she adorned her hair with an intricate crown of the fragrant flowers on her wedding day in 1840.

The fragrance includes notes of orange blossom, with a heart of Turkish rose and Egyptian jasmine, highlighted by a subtle combination of tuberose and orange leaf absolute. The accord is delicately balanced by the floral note of ylang, slightly spiced with nutmeg.
House of Houbigant is available at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. The eau de parfum retails for $180 and the perfume retails for $600.

A way to add ambience to a room at home is with a gorgeous scent by lighting a candle. One of my favorites right now is Linneas Lights hand-poured soy candle. The collection offers all natural soy wax, lead free cotton candle wicks with fine fragrances to create the perfectly pure highly aromatic scent. The best part of it, is that the matches come with the candle! It’s right under the cap. It makes the saying “it’s the little things that counts” come true. How thoughtful is that?

The scent I tested out is Vetiver - the earthy, rugged scent that just smells like a hot successful man you just want to go up to, flip your hair and say ‘call me.’ There really is no other way to describe how addictive this scent is.
Be sure to check out their entire collection here.

Beauty Quickie - Rolling Stone reports that the new face of Avon’s ‘Unplugged’ fragrances is non other than (my love) Jon Bon Jovi. The first concert I’ve ever been to and crush is Jon. It will be interesting to see how the ads will come out for both Unplugged for Her and Unplugged for Him. We’ll just have to wait and see.
